AT-6 General Information: The "Grand-Daddy" of the T-6, the NA-16 first flew in 1935. Variations and production continued until the early 50's. It's effectiveness as a trainer and attack aircraft has been proven by many years of service in many nations of the world. After serving in the military, many a venerable T6 went on to be used in the civilian world as a racer and as a safe and reliable way to 'get into' warbirds. Today, of the 17,000 T6's that were built, about 350 remain in flying condition.
N6413D: Built in the early 1940's, our SNJ was built for the Navy... and that's about all that we know! The records on this aircraft have not been easy to come by. We don't know anything about it's early days, only that it was in California during the 60's, was rebuilt and restored to airworthy condition in the early '80's, and then purchased by the Museum in 2004.
