Bill Anders

Founder & President

The chief pilot, founder, and President of the Heritage Flight Museum, Maj. General William Anders USAF (Ret),  is one of the very few pilots that have been approved by both the USAF and USN to fly in air show formation passes with military Demonstration Team aircraft.  With over 8000 hrs of flying time, he flies the Heritage Flight Museum's P-51D Mustang "Val-Halla" with F-16, F-15, and A-10 fighter aircraft in the USAF Heritage Flight Aerial Demonstration program.  He also flies the F8F-2 Bearcat "Wampus Cat" with  F-18 fighter/attack aircraft in the USN Tailhook Legacy Aerial Demonstration program.  Since the inception of the museum, General Anders has participated in numerous USAF Heritage Flight and USN Tailhook Legacy demonstrations in these aircraft at air shows across the country.
