Props & Ponies

Props & Ponies ::  Mustang-Mustang Show
3rd Saturday in August @ HFM

Celebrating “the car that changed the way we drive, and the aircraft that changed the course of a war”

2012 Best In SHow winnerIn 2010, Heritage Flight Museum teamed up with experienced car show organizers to put on the first all-Mustang show in the region, featuring 100 Ford Mustangs and the P-51 Mustang…. and it was a resounding success! Over 1000 people visited HFM on a beautiful, sunny day devoted entirely to horsepower and good-looks! 2011 & 2012 were equally successful, with the addition of a local wine/beer/food showcase aptly named ‘Props, Ponies & Popping Corks’, held the evening prior to the show. Let’s face it, this event just gets better and better!

Props & Ponies is quickly becoming the most unique Mustang-owner show in the region to attend, you’re not going to want to miss out!

Show Participant Information

  • A few reminders before getting to the details of the show:
    • Props & Ponies is a fundraising event for the Heritage Flight Museum. It is a unique opportunity to bring together folks who like cars, aircraft and history, and to support the mission of the Heritage Flight Museum – ‘Honor Veterans, Keep History Alive’
    • Props & Ponies is organized solely by volunteers. Volunteers develop the classes, create the registration, find prize donations, coordinate the tshirts, layout the show site, process all the cars and owners, and so on. Each of those organizers is donating their spare time and resources to making this an excellent event for everyone. Please be patient and considerate.

Details of the Friday Cruise to HFM

The Props & Ponies cruise goes at a brisk but sensible pace throughout Island, Skagit and Whatcom counties and is planned differently each year by one of the show enthusiasts, not by HFM. The aim is to keep the whole group together and enjoy the scenery as well as the drive. Please bring your hand held CB / Family Packet radio. If you’re interested in the cruise, please contact the cruise organizer.

2013 Cruise is split in two legs. Everyone is welcome to join either leg or both. Click here for 2013 Props & Ponies Cruise Directions.
