What to Expect at this Event

Here at HFM we do airshows and flying displays well, but we've never done a car show... but with 2010 being the 45th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, and seeing as how the Ford Mustang was inspired by the P-51 Mustang, it only seemed fitting that we put on a Mustang-Mustang show! So the fine folks at StangNation.com very enthusiastically agreed that it was a genius idea, and that they'd love to be a part of it, and that they would arrange the car show part if we'd provide the venue and some cool aircraft. And so, Props & Ponies came to be! Here's some of what you can expect as a spectator/visitor to the event:

Everything Else You Need to Know:

  • There will be flights conducted throughout the day, some solo and some formation. These flights will be conducted in accordance with all of the standard flight rules at the airport - which means that there will be no special aerobatic displays or restricted air space. Our pilots always fly under the direction of the air traffic controllers and fit their passes into the general and commercial traffic here at Bellingham International.
  • Visitors are welcome to bring their own bag lunches; garbage recepticles will be available for what doesn't get eaten!
  • Hilltop Restaurant will also have lunch food and drinks available for sale.
  • Please leave your pets at home or in a well-ventilated vehicle... Service animals excepted.
  • There is likely to be a lot of aircraft movement during the day, so please follow the instructions of our volunteer ramp crew... they are there to guard everyone's safety!
  • Bring your cameras and your questions! Photograph your favourite airplanes and cars... This is a great opportunity to see living history! We hope you enjoy your visit with us!
